Artist Background

Self-taught artist Richard Macneil has always worked in the creative industries in a wide range of disciplines including sculpture, ceramics, and graphics. He spent a long time working in the USA, and one of his greatest achievements was to see his artwork displayed in The White House. Born and bred in Worcestershire, England, Richard returned there and worked on developing the unique style that he paints in today. He strives to create “art that appeals to and is accessible to all”. Richard now works together with his family as ‘The Macneil Studio’, and his designs can be found in retail outlets across the world on a broad range of products including gifts, greeting cards, home decor, stationery, and fine art prints

Product Specification

We use 2mm cast acrylic, which is visually indistinguishable from glass and virtually unbreakable.

We specifically do not use styrene, as, though cheaper, it is normally only 1mm thick, offers far less support, and goes yellow over time.

We use MDF backboard for strength. As MDF is a wood product, it can contain acids. To safeguard against these leeching out and affecting your print, we insert an acid free sheet of conservation barrier board between the back and print.

All of our prints are delivered ready to hang.
