Artist Background
Artist Background
Anthony has recently taken a dramatic departure from his usual subject and created a stunning and characterful collection of wildlife themed limited edition prints on canvas. Working primarily in oils, Anthony’s signature ‘detailed, yet not overworked' style is retained in this collection, displaying his familiar keen eye for colour, line and form.
Anthony’s interest in Formula One meant evenings were spent drawing fast cars rather than doing his homework – a rebellion which paid off when his first painting sold in 1989. Anthony turned down a place at university to study Graphic Design to work on the commissions which followed from private individuals, car manufacturers and racing personalities. As well as painting commissions, Anthony has worked on the business side of the art world as a framer, printer and publisher which has added to his keen eye for colour, line, and form.
Product Specification
Product Specification
We use 2mm cast acrylic, which is visually indistinguishable from glass and virtually unbreakable.
We specifically do not use styrene, as, though cheaper, it is normally only 1mm thick, offers far less support, and goes yellow over time.
We use MDF backboard for strength. As MDF is a wood product, it can contain acids. To safeguard against these leeching out and affecting your print, we insert an acid free sheet of conservation barrier board between the back and print.
All of our prints are delivered ready to hang.
