Artist Background
Artist Background
Jonathan Sanders graduated in the 1970s from North Staffordshire University with a Fine Art Degree. Having finished his degree, he found he had a great desire to travel, and so off he went to Africa. On his travels, Jonathan experienced an array of vastly different environments from Islamic Coastlines to lush Game Reserves and his interest in the wildlife, people and native art of Africa continued to develop. Jonathan painted depictions capture his love for Africa in intense hues of golds, reds, and earthy tones. He listens to inspiring African music as he works, using mainly in acrylics to build up colour and texture.
Product Specification
Product Specification
We use 2mm cast acrylic, which is visually indistinguishable from glass and virtually unbreakable.
We specifically do not use styrene, as, though cheaper, it is normally only 1mm thick, offers far less support, and goes yellow over time.
We use MDF backboard for strength. As MDF is a wood product, it can contain acids. To safeguard against these leeching out and affecting your print, we insert an acid free sheet of conservation barrier board between the back and print.
All of our prints are delivered ready to hang.
