Artist Background

Alison mainly works in oil paints but she also visits acrylics and mixed media from her home studio in Moira. She has a large following in her local area and beyond and is best known for her bumblebees and wildflower paintings.

The style Alison uses would be described as impressionistic. Her work is very bright and cheerful, shining a light and paying homage to the beautifully made natural world we live in and are connected with. The use of a painting knife for texture, finger blending and brush work are just a few examples of the paint applications used in her work.

All Alison’s artwork is painted with love and care and a little bit of her soul goes into each piece with the hope it brings a smile to the viewers face.

Product Specification

We use 2mm cast acrylic, which is visually indistinguishable from glass and virtually unbreakable.

We specifically do not use styrene, as, though cheaper, it is normally only 1mm thick, offers far less support, and goes yellow over time.

We use MDF backboard for strength. As MDF is a wood product, it can contain acids. To safeguard against these leeching out and affecting your print, we insert an acid free sheet of conservation barrier board between the back and print.

All of our prints are delivered ready to hang.
