Artist Background
Artist Background
Trudy and Andy Baker were born and bred in the UK and met at art college in Bath whilst studying for their Degrees in Fine Art Sculpture and Illustration. After emigrating to Perth in Australia with their young family in 2004, the couple felt the urge to create unique souvenirs to post back to friends and family overseas to show off their new country.
As a result, Mokoh (a name derived from the couple’s two gorgeous children Molly and Koh), was born! Many of their designs are influenced by the Australian landscape/culture and their love of Australia’s natural flora and fauna, while others are inspired by vintage British Railway posters depicting some of their favourite UK locations.
Product Specification
Product Specification
We use 2mm cast acrylic, which is visually indistinguishable from glass and virtually unbreakable.
We specifically do not use styrene, as, though cheaper, it is normally only 1mm thick, offers far less support, and goes yellow over time.
We use MDF backboard for strength. As MDF is a wood product, it can contain acids. To safeguard against these leeching out and affecting your print, we insert an acid free sheet of conservation barrier board between the back and print.
All of our prints are delivered ready to hang.
