Artist Background

Brought up on a farm in Berkshire, Jo Grundy fell in love with nature and the English landscape from a young age, and it is easy to see where she finds her inspiration as an artist. She has always loved art and so trained as a graphic designer, working in this career for 14 years. She later took time out to have her two children, and this is when she was able to develop her painting style. Now Jo works with a specific brand of paint called Jo Sonja by Chroma that comes in a beautiful range of colours that helps to give her artwork its distinctive colour palette. Jo also loves to add texture to her paintings, letting her paintings evolve organically. She uses a combination of mark making and mixed media such as stitching, paper and beads which breathe an element of fun into her paintings.

Product Specification

We use 2mm cast acrylic, which is visually indistinguishable from glass and virtually unbreakable.

We specifically do not use styrene, as, though cheaper, it is normally only 1mm thick, offers far less support, and goes yellow over time.

We use MDF backboard for strength. As MDF is a wood product, it can contain acids. To safeguard against these leeching out and affecting your print, we insert an acid free sheet of conservation barrier board between the back and print.

All of our prints are delivered ready to hang.
